Great staff and great prices. Only thing is the smell, its Like a barn. But that's understandable bc if the baby chicks and ducks...so cute. It's a one stop shop for rabbit and goat food too.

The man running the register in the front, was very nice and friendly... However, the same can not be said with the chicken room. The lady back there made it clear quite quickly that we were in the way and had zero interest in answering questions or helping us as she kept running all around us and almost unto my teen. We tried to ask about a particular bird and she simply said no and zoomed off. We waited for 5 or 10 more minutes, thinking she could come back or the younger lady standing back there with her, would help us. Nothing, I finally told my husband I felt like we were just in the way and no one was interested in helping us, to which the younger lady rolled her eyes. So we left. Would have loved to purchase some chicks as we prefer to support smaller business over major corporations, but I don't want to spend my money somewhere that treats my family like that.

We love Petrus Feed &Seed. They have just about everything you need for gardening and raising animals, and much more. We have bought baby chicks from them several times and they raise off beautifully. If you have questions about anything they are glad to take the time to talk with you. Everyone working there is extremely friendly.
